Writing and Teaching
Gordon Mehler's writing has appeared in numerous publications. He has published articles on legal topics
(in The American Lawyer, The National Law Journal, The New York Law Journal and others), as well as on
general non-legal topics (in The New York Times, The Chicago Tribune, The Miami Herald and others) and
specialized non-legal topics (in Annals of Internal Medicine, Chronicle of Philanthropy, South American
Explorer and others). He is the lead author of a practitioner's treatise on federal criminal practice, now in its
11th edition, as well as one of four members of the board of editors of a treatise on New York criminal
practice, now in its second edition. Both works are published by Lexis Nexis Matthew Bender. He has also
participated as a speaker on legal topics in a variety of forums.
